Experience an Ideal Luxury Primate Safari through tracking the Rare and Unique Golden Monkey, the Majestic African Mountain Gorilla and Elusive Chimpanzees in the Pearl of Africa. Uganda is a primate filled country with Monkeys, Gorillas, Chimpanzees and Baboons.
There are 20 primate species in Uganda consisting of 13 diurnal and 7 nocturnal species (including the latest discovery, the dwarf galago), making Uganda a destination with the highest concentration of primates on the continent. The list includes the mountain gorilla and chimpanzee, taking the most attention from primate adventure tourists.
Other prominent primates include a golden monkey, de brazza’s monkey, black and white colobus monkey, red colobus monkey, potto, bushbaby, grey-checked mangabey, l’hoest’s monkey, red-tailed monkey, vervet monkey, patas monkey, baboon, and blue monkey.
After heavy breakfat,checkout then start off with adventurous journey to the south western uganda region,with stop overs for photography,stretching and simple shopping with lunch in mbarara city.( Domestic Flight to Kisoro Airfield,optional). . The area is comprised with bafumbira people,and due to tis cold conditions some term it as the African switzerland with a spectacular view of mountains and calderas around and the traditionally designed lodges which reflects artistic customs of the Bafumbira people.

Uganda is filled with many primates, but one that stands out is the Mysterious and Endangered Golden Monkey. Trekking for these beautiful and striking creatures begins very early in the morning.
The Golden Monkey has unique long Golden and Orange Hair gliding down its hind, hence the Name. Tracking these monkeys is exciting, adventurous and not as exhausting. This is because they do not often change location or build new nests each day.

Wake early morning for full fun day out in the wilderness,enjoy your breakfast and Start with an early visit at the Kyambura Gorge which is also referred to as the Kyambura Game Reserve that is part of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The Gorge has a beautiful landscape that can be explored on foot. This nature walk and Chimpanzee (Chimp) trekking, is led by a very well trained tour guide that is well informed about the scenery and the Wildlife. Experience an exhilarating feeling when the Chimpanzees see tourists and start swinging and descending down the trees while banging the tree stems and making noises as they communicate. The fact that they are habituated and being the only Primate that is closest to human nature, taking pictures and watching them pose for the photographs is astonishing.
Trekking for the Chimpanzees (Chimps) starts very early in the morning due to climate changes and increase in temperature. Tracking the Chimps requires one to be physically fit because the inclinations are moderately easy when trailing into the Gorge. But the trail back out of the Gorge is very difficult.
